A man found dead outside the Aventura Mall early Monday apparently committed suicide by jumping from the Macy’sparking garage.
The man’s final moments were caught by a surveillance camera, Aventura police said. He was found by a mall employee lying in the roadway outside the Bloomingdale’s store at 1 a.m. His only visible injury was a laceration to the back of the head.
The man appeared to be between 20 and 25 years old and was wearing a black T-shirt, plaid shorts and sneakers, police said. Investigators are still trying to identity him. Anyone with information should call the Aventura Police department at 305-466-8989 .
“There was no ID, no keys, no money, no jewelry,” said Maj. Skip Washa, spokesman for the Aventura Police department.
