How Does A Defective Product Differ From A Dangerous Product?

There are many products that are dangerous but not defective. A knife, a sharp knife is dangerous, dynamite is dangerous, but they’re not defective. They’re defective if there’s something wrong such that they don’t work the way a consumer would expect them to work. If that knife has a bad handle that comes apart and causes you to cut yourself, then that knife would be defective.
