Yes you can, if that part of the product caused it to be defective or the way that it was applied caused it to become defective. Several years ago, I had a case like that with an Italian manufacturer. The Italian manufacturer did business in United States and I was able to sue the manufacturer here. There was a component part and the component part manufacturer also from Italy did not do business in United States. In that case, I was not able to sue the component part manufacturer but I was able to sue the ultimate manufacturer for the problem with the component part.
