Man ejected in Fort Lauderdale crash

A man was ejected from his Ford F-250 truck that struck a gumbo limbo tree and rolled over Saturday, a Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue spokesman said.

The accident occurred about 5:15 p.m. in the 300 block of Southwest 17th Street. Witnesses told firefighters on scene that a man was ejected and a passenger crawled from the wreckage, Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue spokesman Matt Little said.

Both unidentified victims were transported to Broward Health Medical Center with injuries that were not life-threatening, said Fort Lauderdale Detective DeAnna Garcia.

Police were investigating the single-car crash, she said.
